PERCOSSA —  dance, acrobatics, mime, shadow play, magic – all accompanied by virtuoso percussion pieces. Percussion is not the primary purpose of a performance, but only serves as a means to an end. Charlie Siem — Violinist and Celebrity— is one of today’s foremost young violinists, with such a wide-ranging diversity of cross-cultural appeal as to have played a large part in defining what it means to be a true artist of the 21st century. International Dance Theatre of the Netherlands — (ID) is one of the Netherlands’ oldest dance companies. Building on its rich history, ID has recently made a transition to a new repertoire, with the related focus of using elements from cultures around the world as the basis for contemporary dance productions. Choreographers are given the opportunity at ID to explore their artistic and creative perspective on traditions, on ritual and diversity, and give shape to this in a production.
