About MARBL
MARBL is an Indie-Folk band featuring singer-songwriter Moria Or. Drawing on the likes of Laura Marling & Lola Marsh, the music has its own widely spread range of influences such as Ben Howard, Mumford & Sons, Death Cab for Cutie, First Aid Kit, The xx, Norah Jones, Damien Rice, Joni Mitchel, Bon Iver, Elbow, Lorde and more...
Moria earned a graduate degree in composition from Bathspa University in the UK and is on the faculty of the Rimon School of Jazz & Contemporary Music - the Israeli branch of the Berklee School of Music.
Moria’s first album was under the production of Luis Lahav, one of Israel’s most seasoned producers, with a resume including Bruce Springsteen. It received audience, radio and critical acclaim. The songs became “favorites” in many of the major radio stations in Israel, and led to great media interest, resulting in numerous TV and radio appearances, and newspaper interviews. The album was accompanied by a special video project, alongside with the director Noam Vardi.
In October 2012, MARBL came to life when Pip Williams, Grammy winning producer, heard the group resulting in 12 performances in London over the next 2 years, followed by numerous engagements for Moria in Lisbon, Leipzig, and more.
MARBL’s two albums have already drawn the attention of many music bloggers, journalists, and publicists around the world, the music media thousands of radio stations, and dominant Spotify playlists in France, the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Israel, the USA, Japan, and 71 other countries, generating nearly 500,000 hits last year and over 650,000 views of their single videos on Youtube. |

MARBL— is an Indie-Folk band featuring singer-songwriter Moria Or, based in Tel Aviv, Israel. The music has its range of influences such as Ben Howard, Mumford & Sons, Death Cab for Cutie, The xx, and more… MARBL has performed all over Israel and Europe, participated in festivals such as “White Nights” (Tel Aviv) and “Yellow Submarine Music Showcase” (Jerusalem), and events in universities and colleges. Last year MARBL had nearly 500,000 streams on Spotify from 79 different countries and gained 650k views on their YouTube videos. |
